The CPA Exam score release dates 2027 brings are published, and so is the rest of 2026. Scores for the Core sections — AUD, FAR and REG — are released on a schedule of target dates, each tied to the cut-off by which the AICPA receives your exam data file rather than to the day you sat. There are 16 target dates in 2026 and 8 published for the first half of 2027; from July 2027 the schedule changes shape because the exam moves to a new delivery platform. Scores may post up to 48 hours after the target date, and the timing you actually see varies by state board. Every date is below, with the number of days until the next release worked out for you.
16 of 24 dates have been checked against the AICPA/NASBA primary schedule; the rest are flagged individually in the table. The unchecked ones are all windows that have already passed — the AICPA page lists only windows still ahead, so once a date is gone there is nothing left to check it against.

These 8 windows cover January to early July 2027 and were read off the AICPA schedule page on 2026-09-05. Note the two-and-a-half week gap on the 23 April window: the release dates are not a fixed number of days after the cut-off, so counting eighteen days forward from your test date will mislead you on some windows by a week.
What happens from July 2027
From July 2027 the CPA Exam moves to a new technology delivery platform. The schedule changes shape with it: a testing-date range rather than a data-file cut-off, and one release date per range. The rows below are the AICPA’s published transition schedule for the Core sections, and the AICPA states that all of these dates are subject to change.

The countdown above deliberately does not run on these rows. A range is not a cut-off, and a countdown that treated the end of a three-month testing window as a data-file deadline would be telling you something the source does not say.

Should I keep studying while waiting for my score?
The wait is between two and roughly eight weeks depending on where your test date falls against a cut-off, which is long enough that stopping entirely has a cost. Whether to start the next section or hold depends on what your own evidence says, not on a rule.
The 72 hours after
If the result is a fail, the decision you make in the next three days is the one that matters: whether to re-sit with the same preparation, or change what you are measuring. The honest version of that decision needs a number you can believe.
